Misk.com scans all email messages that are sent and received through our mail servers for Viruses.
This allows us to remove known potentially dangerous files before they ever reach your Inbox.
Why do you need Virus Protection?
Computer viruses can be a simple nuisance or they can completely destroy your computer(s).
Loss of Time. Opening an email attachment that has been infected with a Virus can lead to hours of work fixing your computer.
Loss of Data. Even worse, they can cause files on your computer to be permanently lost.
Client Side Virus Filtering
Even though we filter for viruses, it is still recommended to have an antivirus program installed your computer. Imagine the situation where a virus just came out and was emailed to you. Our filter wouldn't pick it up because virus organizations haven't added a rule for it yet. However, by the time you check your email, a filter has been written. Hence an antivirus program installed on your computer would have protected you.

Please follow the simple steps below to protect your computer from being infected:
Antivirus Software on your computer
We highly recommend using an antivirus program on your computer. Windows 10 comes with Windows Defender built-in, which is an excellent first layer of protection. It is free and offered directly from Microsoft.
In addition to catching any additional email viruses that were not picked up by our Virus protection, using an antivirus program will also protect your computer from other types of viruses, such as Trojan Horses that you may have accidentally downloaded from the Internet.
Do not open files from unknown sources
If you do not know what the file is or who sent it to you, Don't Open It!
Beware of Executable Files
Email Viruses are spread through Executable Files. These include .exe, .bat and .com files.
.doc, .xsl, .jpg and .gif are data files and are generally fine to open.
