Gmail

To use Gmail with your email address, configure Email Forwarding (to receive mail) and a SMTP Password (to send mail).

Google is discontinuing the "Check mail from other accounts" feature in Gmail. Our prior instructions for that feature can be found at Gmail Email Fetch.

Setup Incoming Email

If the email address already exists (as a POP account), you'll need to delete it first.

Follow the steps below to forward an email address to your Gmail account.

1. Login to your Control Panel at https://www.misk.com/cp/
2. Click on your Domain Name
3. Under Essentials in the top area, click Email
4. Click Add Email Address and select Forwarding
5. Enter an Email name and Destination
6. Click Add

Setup Outgoing Email (optional)

Follow the steps below to create a SMTP Password.

1. Login to your Control Panel at https://www.misk.com/cp/
2. Click on your Domain Name
3. Under Essentials in the top area, click Email
4. Click Edit to the far right of the email forwarding address
5. Click Advanced Settings and then Generate SMTP Password
6. Copy your SMTP Password to use in the next steps below.

Follow the steps below to setup your email address for outgoing email in Gmail.

1. In Gmail, click the gear icon  in the upper right, then select See all settings
2. Go to the Accounts and Import tab
   • To Add a New Address
     1. Under Send mail as, click Add another email address
   • To Edit an Existing Address
     1. Under Send mail as, find your address and click edit info to the right of it
        
        
3. Enter your Name
4. Uncheck Treat as an alias
   
   
    
5. Click Next Step
   
   
6. On the next page, enter the following information:
   SMTP Server: smtp.misk.com
   Port: 465
   Username: Your Full Email Address
   Password: Your SMTP Password
   Secured connection using SSL: Selected
   
   
    
7. Click Add Account or Save Changes (depending on if you are adding or editing an address)
    
8. When adding a new address, Google will need to verify it
   1. They will send a confirmation email to the address
   2. Follow the instructions in their email to confirm the address
   3. After verifying it, setup will be complete and you'll be able to send with the address
