Below is a list of the most common Spam Filters and Email Clients with instructions on how to add senders to your Whitelist.
Please make sure to add our email address, support@misk.com to your whitelist.
AOL
- Go to the keyword: Mail Controls.
- Select your Screen Name.
- Click Customize Mail Controls For This Screen Name.
AOL (Version 9.0)
- Open the latest email from the person you would like to add to your People I Know list.
- Click the Add Address button to add to your People I Know list.
Hotmail
- Click Options in the top right-hand corner.
- Click the Contacts button in the left-side menu and select Safe List.
- Type an email address or a domain name and click Add to add the address or domain to your Safe List.
Note: If you see a message that should not be in your Junk Mail folder, click This is not Junk Mail to avoid having email from the same source sent to the Junk Mail folder in the future.
Yahoo!
- Open your Yahoo Mailbox.
- Click Mail Options.
- Click Filters.
- Next, click Add Filter.
- In the top row, labeled From header:, make sure contains is selected in the drop-down menu.
- Enter the address in the From line of your most recent email from the sender you want to whitelist.
- At the bottom, next to Move the message to:, select Inbox from the drop-down menu.
- Click the Add Filter button again.
Gmail
- Open the latest issue of the email you want to whitelist.
- Click More Options.
- When More Options is visible, click the Add sender to contacts list button.
Alternatively, you can simply send an email to the From address and it will add the address to your Contacts List automatically.
- Open the latest issue of the e-mail you want to whitelist.
- Click the Reply button.
- A new email window should open with an address pre-filled in the "Send To" box.
- Click Send Now.
If one of your important emails has been filtered into the Spam folder, you can prevent this from ever happening again for that particular "From" address by following the instructions below.
- Click on the Spam button to open your Spam folder.
- Click on the wrongly filtered email to open it.
- Click the Not Spam button at the top of the email.
Outlook 2003
You can add a sender to your Whitelist 1 of 3 ways:
- Open any email from the sender you want to whitelist, then add the sender or the sender's domain to your Safe List.
- Find the address in the From line of the most recent email from the sender you want to whitelist and add it to Personal Contacts in your Outlook Address Book.
- Open any email from the sender you want to whitelist, then select Mark as Not Junk.
Outlook Express
- Right-Click on any email from the sender you want to whitelist and select Add Sender to Address Book.
Mac Mail
- Open the email from the sender you want to whitelist.
- Ctrl-Click the sender's email address and select Open in the Address Book.
- Verify the sender's contact information.
McAfee Spamkiller
- Click Friends from the sidebar.
- Click Add.
- Type the email address you want to whitelist.
- Click OK.
Norton AntiSpam
- Open Norton AntiSpam.
- Click the Status & Settings tab.
- Click AntiSpam.
- Click Configure.
- Click the Allowed List tab.
- Click the Add button.
- In the Email Address box, enter the email address you want to whitelist.
- Click OK.
- Click OK again.
