What You Will Need
Before you begin, be sure that you have the following information available:
- Username: Your Misk Username
- Password: Your FTP Password
- Hostname/Address: ftp.misk.com
- Port: 990 (Must choose the Implicit SSL FTP option)
You will also need to download SmartFTP from SmartFTP's Download Site and install it on your computer.
Connecting to our Server
Before you can start uploading files you will need to establish a connection to our server by following the steps below:
- Select the FTP over SSL Implicit option next to Protocol.
- By default, you should select FTP unless instructed to do otherwise.
- Enter the address of your FTP server in the URL box. Type in ftp.misk.com.
- Enter your Misk Username in the Login box.
- Enter your FTP Password in the Password box.
- Enter the number 990 (for Implicit SSL FTP) in the Port box.
- Click the Go button next to the URL box to connect.

Once you have connected, a remote browser window will open and you will see a connection confirmation in the Log.
Uploading a File
After you have connected to our server you may upload your files by following the steps below:
- Select the folder in the Remote Browser window that you would like to upload the files to.
- Open up your Local Browser by selecting the FTP drop-down menu and clicking Local Browser.
- Select the folder on your computer where the files you wish to upload are located.
- Drag-and-drop the file from the Local Browser window to the FTP Client window.
- Once you have dropped the file into the specified folder in the Remote Browser window, the transfer will begin automatically.
- You can view the progress of the transfer in the Log window of the Remote Browser window.
Uploading Multiple Files Using the Queue
You can upload Multiple Files at one time by following the instructions below:
- Select the folder on your computer that contains the files that you would like to upload.
- Drag-and-drop the files from the Local Browser window into the Temporary Queue.
- Select the folder in the Remote Browser window that you would like to upload your files to.
- Drag-and-drop the files from the Temporary Queue into the destination folder in your Remote Browser window.
- Select the Transfer Queue tab.
- Click on the Start button to begin uploading your files to the destination folder you have selected in your Remote Browser window.
- Once the files have been successfully transferred, they are removed from the Transfer Queue window.
- They will remain in this window until the transfer is complete. The upload progress is displayed in the Transfer Queue.
