Using FileZilla to Upload from my PC

What You Will Need

Before you begin, be sure that you have the following information available:

• Username: Your Misk Username
• Password: Your FTP Password
• Hostname/Address: ftp.misk.com
• Port: 990 (Must choose the Implicit SSL FTP option)

You will also need to download FileZilla and install it on your computer. Please visit Sourceforge.net and click on the top-most link (FileZilla) to download the install file.

Connecting to our Server

Before you can start uploading files you will need to establish a connection to our server by following the steps below:

1. Launch FileZilla.
2. Select Site Manager under the File drop-down menu.
3. Click on New Site and name the connection however you like (e.g.: My Web Site).
4. Under My FTP Sites, click on the connection you just created.
5. Under Host, enter ftp.misk.com.
6. Under Port, enter 990 (for Implicit SSL FTP).
7. Under Servertype enter FTP over SSL/TLS (implicit encryption).
8. Under Logontype click the button next to Normal.
9. Under User, enter your Misk.com username.
   • Your Password will be your FTP Password.
10. Click on Connect to connect to our server.

Uploading a File

Uploading your files is simply a matter of locating the folder on your computer that you used to store your web site files and then dragging and dropping the files from your computer (left pane) to our server (right pane). If you are connected properly, you should notice progress bars next to the files you are uploading.
