Unlocking your Domain for Transfer
When transferring a domain into Misk.com's services, your domain name must be unlocked. The instructions below can be used for unlocking your domain name through some of our competitors.
- Login to your Account Manager.
- If you have more than one domain name, click on the domain name for which you want to change the Domain Protect status.
- At the top of the Domain Details section, to the right of Domain Protect, click on the Edit link (if there is only a Turn On link, then Domain Protect has already deactivated)
- Select the radio button next to Turn Domain Protect off, then click on the Save button
What Is Domain Protect
- Login to your Account Manager.
- Under the Domain Names section, select Manage Domains.
- Select the domain name you want to unlock.
- In the Domain Details section, select Unlock Domain.
- Select Single Domain.
- Select Unlocked.
- Click Save Changes.
Locking and Unlocking Your Domain Name
- Login to your Account Manager.
- Select the domain name you wish to make the changes to from the main menu.
- Find the ENABLE/DISABLE DOMAIN LOCK section of the page
- Click on Disable Domain Lock, click the Continue button to confirm the change.
How do I disable my Domain Lock?
- Login to your Account.
- Choose menu option DOMAINS and then my domains
- Click on the domain name you wish to modify. This will take you to the Domain Name Control Panel, a page that allows you to edit all settings for this particular domain.
- Click General Settings and enable or disable the lock and then click save.

- Login to your My Account by clicking the link at the top right of the website, and entering your username and password
The My Account Console will be displayed
- Click View/Manage Domain Names under the Domain Names section of the Console
The View Domain Names page will be displayed with the list of domain names under your My Account
Hint: Click a column heading to sort your domain name list accordingly
- Click the domain name you want to unlock
The Domain Management page for the selected domain name will be displayed
- Click Unlock in the Domain Details section and follow the on-screen prompts
How can I unlock my domain name?
- Login to your Account.
- Click on the My Domains Tab.
- Check the boxes next to the domains that you would like to update OR to select all of the domains listed on the page, click "Select All"
- In the dropdown menu under "Step 2, Select Which Management Option You Want to Perform"
- Select Unlock Lock these domains - to allow transfers
