Transferring Away from Misk.com
How do I transfer my domain name?
Domain transfers are handled by the gaining registrar which you are transferring the domain name into.
The only things you have to do on our end is make sure that your domain name is unlocked and that your contact details are up to date.
As per ICANN policy, all transfers away from Misk.com are automatically approved on our end unless the domain name is locked or the administrator of the domain name specifically requests that we decline the transfer.
Should I transfer my domain name to my web host?
If you're thinking about transferring your domain name's registration to your web host, you may want to reconsider.
Some of our customers have run into problems when keeping the registration of their domain with their web host. Some web hosts will go out of business and will offer no method of contact. Others may have downtime and may not notify their customers.
If you transfer your domain to another web host and something like this happens, you may completely lose your web site as well as your domain name.
This simply doesn't happen with Misk.com. If you keep your domain name with us you can point your domain to any web host of your choice at any time you want.
