A subdomain adds a prefix to your Domain Name, allowing you to divide your domain into specific sections and creating separate sites under a single domain.
There are many uses for a subdomain and you may create multiple subdomains based off of your one domain name.
For example, our we have created a subdomain for our Webmail Client which is webmail.misk.com.
With domain essentials you can create subdomains using our Domain Forwarding, Domain Cloaking/Masking or Custom DNS Services.
Setting up a Subdomain with Domain Forwarding
- Please visit http://www.misk.com and login to your "Control Panel" using your username and password.
- Click on your domain name under "All Domains".
- Click on Advanced Settings in the "Domain Action" panel.
- Click on Add Forwarding Record.
- Enter the desired "Hostname" and "Destination Address" into the corresponding fields.
- When completed, click on Save.
