Our Custom DNS service allows you to "Load Balance" your domain name by creating "Round Robin" A records which you can setup to point to multiple IP addresses.
- Please visit http://www.misk.com and login to your "Control Panel" using your username and password.
- Click on your domain name under "All Domains".
- Click on Website Settings in the "Domain Actions" panel.
- Select the IP Address or Hostname Pointing option.
- In the "IP Address / Hostname" field, enter the 1st IP Address and then the 2nd IP Address separated by a comma (e.g.: 12.23.34.45, 54.43.32.21).
- Click on Save Settings to save your changes.
You are able to add as many IP addresses as you wish simply by typing another comma followed by the next IP Address.
Please allow 12 - 24 hours for this new information to fully propagate across the Internet.
Our Custom DNS service also allows you to setup "Round Robin" A records on any subdomain by simply creating an additional A Record with the same Hostname.
To set up "Round Robin" A records on a subdomain, please follow the instructions below.
- Please visit http://www.misk.com and login to your "Control Panel" using your username and password.
- Click on your domain name under "All Domains".
- Click on Advanced Settings in the "Domain Actions" panel.
- Click on Add A/CNAME Record.
- Enter the desired "Hostname" and the 1st "IP Address" in the corresponding fields.
- Click on Save Settings to save your changes.
To create the second A Record, please follow steps 1 - 6 and enter the same "Hostname" in the corresponding field. Then, enter the 2nd IP Address to point to in the "IP Address / Destination Hostname" field.
You are able to add as many IP addresses as you wish simply by creating an additional A Record with the same Hostname.
