If you are using multiple computers to check your email, you may wish to leave email messages on the server so you can safely check your mail on one computer, and then download it later on another. It also assures that you can have a copy for later use via Misk Webmail. Below is a list of common email clients and instructions on how to set up your email client to leave messages on the server for each one.
Note: We recommend that you set your email client to delete the messages from the server after a set amount of time, like 1 week. If messages are never deleted from our mail server your mailbox may become full, even with the generous amount of storage space we offer.
Misk Webmail
To leave messages on the server using Misk Webmail, simply leave them in the Inbox. Please note that any emails that are moved out of the Inbox cannot be put back in for later download.
Outlook 2003
- Open Outlook 2003.
- In the top menu bar, click Tools and then E-mail Accounts.
- Click View or change existing e-mail accounts and click Next.
- Select your email account and click Change.
- Click More Settings and select the Advanced tab.
- Check the box next to Leave a copy of messages on the server.
- Click OK, Next and then Finish.
