Setting up your Email Address on Entourage 2004

You may follow the instructions below to setup your email address through Entourage 2004.

  1. Open Entourage 2004.
  2. In the top menu bar, click on Tools and then Accounts.
  3. In the "Accounts" window, click the New button and select Mail.



  4. In the "Account Setup Assistant" window, enter your E-mail Address and click the right arrow button in the lower right-hand corner of the window.



  5. Please note that Entourage 2004 will not automatically configure your Misk email account. Click the right arrow button to go to the next page.



  6. You will then need to enter the following information:
    • Enter Your name, your E-mail address, your Account ID and your desired Password in the corresponding fields.
    • In the Incoming mail server field, enter pop.misk.com and in the Outgoing mail server field, enter smtp.misk.com.
    • Make sure that you have selected POP in the Incoming mail server type menu and then click the right arrow button.



  7. You may then click the Verify My Settings button to verify your account settings.



    • If Entourage 2004 is unable to verify your settings, simply click the right arrow button and then click Skip in the pop up window.



  8. On the last page, enter the desired name of your account in the Account name field.
  9. Finally, click the check box next to Include this account in my Send & Receive All schedule and click Finish.



  10. You will now need to setup SMTP Authentication and change the SMTP port number. Please follow the steps below:
    • In the "Accounts" window, select your newly created account and click Edit.
    • Under "Sending Mail", click on the Click here for advanced sending options button.



    • Check the box next to SMTP server requires authentication and make sure that the Use same settings as receiving mail server option is selected.
    • Next, check the box next to Override default SMTP port and change the port number 587. You may then click anywhere outside the box to close it.
      Additional Note: To send your email through an encrypted connection, please make sure to click the check box next to the SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL) option.



  11. Click OK in the "Edit Account" window and then close the "Accounts" window.
