To transfer a .ca domain name to new owner you may perform a .CA Registrant Transfer by following the instructions below:

In order to transfer a .ca domain name to a new owner CIRA charges a fee equal to a 1 year renewal for the transfer.

Domain Registration: $20
Domain Essentials: $44

Please follow the instructions for Making a Manual Payment. The payment you make will be applied as a credit on your Misk Username.

To internally transfer your domain name, simply send a request to support@misk.com.

Make sure to include:

• Name:
• Phone:
• Address:
• Organization:
• Legal Type:
• Admin Email:

Please send your request from your current Administrative Email Address.
If you are not sure what your Administrative Email Address is currently listed as, please follow the instructions on How to Check Your Admin Email Address.

If your Administrative Email Address is not up to date, please Update Your Contact Information.

Once your request has been received we will submit your .ca Registrant Transfer to CIRA for processing.

During this process the New and Old Registrants will need to do the following:

1. The New Registrant will create a New CIRA Profile.
   Note: You will not need to go through this step if you are transferring the domain name into an existing CIRA Profile.
2. The Old Registrant will need to confirm the transfer out of their CIRA Profile.
3. The New Registrant will then accept the domain name into the New CIRA Profile.

In order to confirm these changes both the New and Old Administrators will need their CIRA login information. If you do not remember your CIRA login details please follow our guide on How to obtain your CIRA Login Information.

Once the transfer has been completed we will notify you by email and 1 year will be added on to the domain registration.

The .ca Registrant Transfer will fail if it is not confirmed with CIRA within 5 days. A credit will be applied back to your Misk.com username and applied towards your next purchase through our web site if this occurs. If you would like the credit applied towards re-initiating the transfer, simply email us at support@misk.com.
