A records are used to point a hostname at your domain name to any static IP Address.

Round Robin A Records Supported

Our Custom DNS service allows you to setup Round Robin A records to load balance request between multiple IP addresses.

MX or Mail eXchanger records are used to direct the incoming mail for your domain name.

You are also able to create a "mail" A Record to point your MX Record to, which would allow you to use an IP Address for your own mail server.

MX Priority is supported.

CNAME records are aliases used to point your domain name to another hostname.

TXT records are used by a variety of different applications. These records store simple text in a dns record, which is then accessed by an application.

SPF and Sender ID

SPF and Sender ID frameworks rely on TXT records to function.

If you would like your web site accessible no matter what hostname is entered, you can set up a wildcard A or CNAME Record. That way, no matter what is typed in before your domain name, your web site will still display. i.e. You would setup a record for *.yourdomain.com in your control panel and whenever someone types in any subdomain at yourdomain.com, it would go to the IP address or hostname you specified.
